Dairy Farm

Strictly, this map covers an area slightly larger than the original Dairy Farm Estate which was constructed between 1975 and 1983 and included only Gloucester Road and the roads immediately off it.

The latest large construction (during the period 1986-1995) involved the building of housing on Beaumaris and Aversley Roads.

Now only in-filling is possible as the final land available for construction (Holborn View) was completed in 1999.

The current Village Structure Plan does not allow for any further large housing development.

From a population of only a few hundred in 1960, Sawtry now is home to nearly 7000 people.
