Westfield

This part of Sawtry was one of the first areas of development during the 1965-1975 period.

"Old Sawtry" houses can still be seen around the Methodist Church and Greenways. Development was rapid and planning regulations did not require newer developments to match older buildings. As a result, Sawtry has a wide variety of modern housing and a few much older properties representing "old Sawtry".

Along with the shops and Post Office lower down Green End Road, Greenways is the only other major shopping centre for the village.
